EQ(s): What are the ten most important events in the first half of this class?
Warm Up: New Year's Resolutions. Students will write down three New Years Resolutions with at least one of them being education related. Students will revisit these resolutions later in the year.
Instructional Plan: Top Ten Events Timeline. Students will create a timeline that includes what they believe are the ten most important events that we talked about first semester. Timeline will include an event, a picture, brief description, and reasoning behind why they believe this event is important.
Closing Summarizer: Discussion- How is a book like a teenager? This will be the example to get us going.

Instructional Plan: 1. Lecture/Discussion with graphic organizer on Olmec, Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas
2. Interesting Facts quiz on the Aztecs. Students will take a quiz on interesting facts about the Aztecs and I will discuss selected answers.
Closing Summarizer: One thing I learned today discussion. Each student will share one thing they learned without repeating anyone else.
